Rough Guide to Christianity

“On Sunday evenings during Advent, our ‘Rough Guide to Christianity’ will be looking at the significance of Christmas in the Christian life.

The sessions will take place at 5.00pm in the Vicarage Room and include a light supper.

They will run on the 28th November, 5th, 12th, and 19th December. All are welcome, whether you are curious about Christianity or a life-long churchgoer.”

“The Eucharist, or Mass, or Lord’s Supper is the central act of Christian worship; having been ordained by Christ Himself at the Last Supper.

It is celebrated at Christ Church every Sunday; and at St John the Evangelist on most Mondays and Wednesdays.

All Christians, and anybody curious about becoming a Christian, are invited. Special events coming in the next few months are listed below.”

    7.30pm at Christ Church Eucharist followed by barbeque
  • 27th June, 4th July, 18th July, and 25th July
    Christ Church.
    Giving for Life seminars, exploring Christian Stewardship, will be held after Church at Christ Church.
  • Monday 29th March
    Monday in Holy Week
    7.30pm Eucharist followed by Compline at Christ Church A chance for quiet contemplation at the beginning of Holy Week.
  • Friday 10th – Sunday 12th September
    Parish Weekend
    Theme: Exciting Prayer. Chris Chapman, diocesan Spirituality Advisor will be leading us in Active Prayer and meditation.

    9.00am Stations of the Cross at St John’s
    7.30pm Stations of the Cross at Christ Church
    Using pictures on the walls of our churches, this is a chance to prayerfully walk through Jesus’ journey from his arrest to his trial and crucifixion.

    Harvest Festival
    11.00am at Christ Church Join us for our celebration of the harvest, followed by lunch
